Nonfiction Reading Interest Groups

There are two sections of the nonfiction reading interest group: I. West Side Santa Cruz; II. East Side Santa Cruz.

I. Santa Cruz — We meet in Santa Cruz to discuss nonfiction books recommended by group members and chosen by consensus. Recent reads include Junkyard Planet, Dark Money, Born a Crime, The Library Book.

Meets at 2 p.m. on the 4th Tuesday of the month at the leader’s house in West Santa Cruz. 


II. East Side Santa Cruz —

We read nonfiction exclusively, currently The Silk Roads: A New History of the World (Frankopan). Other readings include The Code Breaker: Jennifer Doudna, Gene Editing and the Future of the Human Race (Isaacson), Leadership: In Turbulent Times (Goodwin), and Truman (McCullough).
