Memoir Writing

Memoir Writing I

This interest group provides an opportunity for us to tell our life stories.  Members learn from one another, in a supportive environment, how to present memories with clarity and honesty.  No prior writing experience is needed. At each meeting, members can read their stories and receive impressions from the group. The group meets the second Thursday of each month at members’ homes.   We encourage members to attend in person but provide a virtual link to those who cannot.

This can be a legacy for family and friends and stimulating and reflective for the writer.

Time: 2nd Thursdays 1-4 pm
Location: Memoir Writing I meets at members home.
Group Leader: Richard Bruce, richard.bruce@gmail.com , 831-427-7334.

Memoir Writing II

We all have potential stories embedded in our memories and life experiences.  In this group, you will write about the raw material of your life and transform it into personal stories you can share with others.

This OLLI group offers a supportive environment for sharing your writing and receiving feedback so you can hone your memoir writing skills.

Anyone who wants to write their memoirs and improve their memoir writing is welcome to join.  No one needs to be an expert.

Venue for Memoir Writing II will be determined by group members.
