Scholarships

The Silvia Miller Scholarship Fund   

Each year OLLI at UCSC offers scholarships to UCSC re-entry students. These students are returning to the university to complete their college education and are at least 25 years old or are veterans. OLLI has benefitted many worthy students through their long-established Silvia Miller Scholarship Fund.

OLLI members are contributing to these scholarships through a portion of their annual membership dues and course fees, as well as the generous donations they make to the Silvia Miller Scholarship Fund.

Silvia Miller was a founding member of Lifelong Learners, OLLI at UCSC’s predecessor organization. Later in life she returned to UCSC to complete her bachelor’s degree and recognized the need for special support for the re-entry students. Following her death, the fund she established for financial assistance for re-entry students was named in her honor. Donations to this fund are tax-deductible and used exclusively for scholarships.
