“Los Lectores” is an established book club that is a new OLLI Interest Group. The club provides an engaging environment for members to read and discuss books written in Spanish.
Meeting Details
Meetings take place at a member’s home, offering a comfortable and welcoming setting for discussion.
Activities and Goals
At each meeting, members gather to discuss the selected book of the month. In addition to literary discussion, participants also share updates about their lives, fostering a sense of community and friendship. The primary aim of “Los Lectores” is to help members improve their reading and comprehension skills in Spanish. The group also focuses on expanding Spanish vocabulary and maintaining overall language proficiency.
Membership Requirements
This group is designed for individuals who already possess a fairly advanced ability to read and speak in Spanish. Participants should feel comfortable engaging in discussions conducted entirely in Spanish.
